Taking a break from My Faith Project

by Jennifer Haupt on February 4, 2010

It’s been five months since I started this blog and it’s time to sit back, be quiet, and and re-evaluate. Thanks to all of you who have become my companions on this journey. I’ll be back when I figure out what exactly it is that I’m trying to accomplish here. (Don’t worry, I won’t be able to clam up for too long!)

I’ll leave you with one thought: Faith is being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you do not see (Hebrews 11:1). I need to find clarity on both counts.

Sorry to hear you won’t be posting for a while. I agree though that taking time to reflect can be important! Hope to see you back here soon

Jen — I’ll really miss your thoughtful posts — but understand your need to refresh yourself a little and focus on other projects. Like Brette, I hope you’ll be back soon.

Count me as one of those who will also miss your insightful posts. I like your thought from Hebrews. I often think of faith as like a seed–an idea/notion that you plant within yourself, try out, nourish and see where it goes.

I wish you peace as you reevaluate what you want this blog to be for the future. I, for one, have greatly enjoyed your posts and look forward to your return.

All good things to you as you find your clearness, Jen. We’ll be glad to see you again when you’re ready.

It seems like reflection as such is exactly what faith is about. Take care.

Wishing you the peace you need to evaluate with clarity!

Jen, Your posts are always so interesting and thought-provoking. A break will only enhance what you are so aptly able to do. Good luck!

Jen, say it isn’t so! Actually, though, it’s a good idea to take a break and reevaluate. In the push for all of us to have blogs, we may not always stick to our true purpose. I’ll await your return!

Jennifer–you will be missed. But sometimes we all need to listen to the inner voice that says, “rest.” I did something similar myself just for two weeks, and it was well worth it.

Hope you will be back soon! I love your blog and your voice.
